Pick a player to go first. The instructions suggest examples such as the furriest player, the player with the most recent tantrum, or the player with the most body parts.

Rule details

The choice is made for the practice round. After the full-game setup, play goes clockwise around the table; the instructions do not call for choosing another starter.

If there’s a tie
