Rule details

Play passes to the other team after each turn.

On a team's later turn, it designates a new captain.

Our interpretation

The rule selects the opening team by a member's experience; it does not name the first captain within that team.

If there’s a tie

The cited starting-player instruction does not specify a tie-break. We don’t infer one.
