Who goes first in Dungeon Petz?

Whoever fed a pet most recently receives the starting-player token. The rules also permit choosing its holder randomly or by agreement.

Rule details

The token does not guarantee the first shopping action. After players reveal their groups, the largest group goes first; its size counts both imps and gold tokens.

Official tie-break or fallback

For shopping groups of equal size, resolve them clockwise beginning with the starting-player token holder. Choosing that token holder randomly is also an official setup alternative.
