The player who most recently visited a market starts.
Rule details
That player takes the Trade tower, two dice and first-player marker.
The same person remains first player throughout the game; other players take turns clockwise.
If there’s a tie
The cited starting-player instruction does not specify a tie-break. We don’t infer one.
