Whoever most recently saw a magnificent landscape goes first.

Rule details

Point the central board’s arrow toward the starting player.

Turns then proceed clockwise.

This starting criterion applies to the multiplayer game. The solo variant has its own setup.

If there’s a tie

The cited starting-player instruction does not specify a tie-break. We don’t infer one.
