The wisest player begins as the first caravaneer.
Rule details
The first caravaneer places the 20-sided die in front of them.
At the start of each later turn, the first caravaneer role passes to the player on the left, proceeding clockwise.
If there’s a tie
The cited starting-player instruction does not specify a tie-break. We don’t infer one.
