Who goes first in Legacy: Gears of Time?

Randomly choose a player to pick their position in the opening player order first. The rulebook suggests comparing watches and giving first choice to the player whose watch shows the earliest time. The chosen player may select any position, so this step does not itself determine who takes the first turn.

Rule details

Players take turns in the order indicated on the Player Order track.

For later rounds, the player with the fewest Influence Cubes chooses an order position first; ties use lowest score, then the previous round’s order.

If there’s a tie

The cited starting-player instruction does not specify a tie-break. We don’t infer one.
