Who goes first in Nomads?

Whoever most recently told a story starts. Choosing a player at random is also an official option.

Rule details

Regular turns proceed clockwise.

With fewer than five players, the person to the starter’s right first places the unused Adventurers’ discs during setup. That setup task does not make them the first player.

In the Lumarathon variant, if you have just finished Oh Captain!, its last Captain starts Nomads instead.

Official tie-break or fallback

You may choose randomly instead of using the storytelling criterion; the rulebook does not limit this option to ties.
