Who goes first in The Grimm Forest?

The person who most recently ate bacon receives the Starting Player token and takes the first Build turn.

Rule details

The round begins with Gather: everyone secretly chooses cards, then resolves the gathering steps. Build follows, with individual turns beginning at the Starting Player and continuing clockwise.

The token also determines the order for simultaneous card effects that must be resolved in turn order. Pass it clockwise during Clean Up.

With two players, resolve Prince Regal's resource collection before either player chooses their Gather and Fable cards.

If there’s a tie

The cited starting-player instruction does not specify a tie-break. We don’t infer one.
