The player who has befriended the most unusual animal starts.
Rule details
Turns proceed clockwise from the first player.
The first player starts with one of each resource; later players receive the extra starting resources listed by play order.
If there’s a tie
The cited starting-player instruction does not specify a tie-break. We don’t infer one.
