Whoever most recently read a fantasy novel or watched a fantasy movie or show goes first.

Rule details

Players take individual turns in clockwise order, moving their character and then taking one action.

In solo play, control two or more characters of your choice.

Specific instructions on cards or in the adventure book take precedence over the general rulebook.

If there’s a tie

The cited starting-player instruction does not specify a tie-break. We don’t infer one.
